1. Who these terms are with

These terms are between you and Business of Beauty (B.O.B). Contact us at Jo@businessofbeauty.co.uk. By buying a membership, a listing or a booking from this website, you agree to them.

2. What we sell

• Membership. Professional at £39 a year, or Business at £199 a year. It runs for 12 months and renews annually until you cancel.
• Directory listing. £99 a year for a standard listing, with optional extras: a second category at £59 a year, a Featured Boost at £25 a month or £199 a year, and a one-off Verified badge at £29.
• Event listing. A one-off £49, with an optional £25 Featured Boost. Nothing renews.
• Job of the Week. A one-off £89 for one week. Nothing renews.
• Shop purchases. Digital products, priced individually.

All prices are in pounds sterling. B.O.B is not currently VAT registered, so no VAT is charged.

3. Payment

Payment is taken by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. A purchase is complete when Stripe confirms the payment to us, not when you reach the confirmation page.

4. Listings: what we need from you, and what we will not publish

You are responsible for everything you submit being accurate, and for having the right to use any name, logo or link you give us. We check listings before they go live and may decline or remove one that is inaccurate, misleading, unlawful, or that makes a claim about a qualification, accreditation or treatment outcome that cannot be supported. If we remove a listing for that reason we will tell you why and refund the unused part of your fee.

Affiliate and tracking links. If you give us one, we will use it in place of a plain link, and we may earn a commission when someone follows it. Those links are marked as paid on the page, because an undisclosed one would mislead readers.

5. Cancellation and refunds

Before your listing goes live, tell us and we will cancel it and refund you in full.

Membership runs for the 12 months you have paid for. You can cancel at any time to stop it renewing, and your membership continues to the end of the period you have already paid for.

Job of the Week is an exclusive weekly slot which we confirm by hand. If the week you chose has already gone, we will offer you the next free one or refund you in full, whichever you prefer.

If you are a consumer rather than a business, you normally have 14 days to change your mind about a distance contract. Where you have asked us to start straight away, for example to put a listing live immediately, that right ends once the service is fully performed. We will always look at a request fairly, so if something has gone wrong, tell us.

6. What we do not promise

We will do our best to keep this site available, but we cannot promise it will never be unavailable. We do not promise a listing will produce enquiries, sales or applicants, and we do not guarantee search rankings.

The Hub contains general information, including guides to qualifications, professional bodies, insurance and CQC registration. It is a starting point for your own research and is not professional, legal, insurance or regulatory advice. Always confirm your own position with the relevant body or a qualified adviser before acting.

Where we link to another organisation, we are not responsible for what they do, what they charge or what they publish.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for lost profits or lost business.

8. Your data

How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy policy, and what we store on your device is set out in our cookie policy.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your purchase is the one published when you bought. The date at the top of this page is the date of the current version.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
